I just asked my fiance to give up a kidney.

I told her all I need is about $40K and the rest is hers to keep. I am not sure how much you would actually get for a kidney on the black market, my search of the internets didn’t really provide me with a sold answer. What for? Well you see the pictures, so yeah.  The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS.

Sure I know this is not a new story or anything, but I finally got a second to check some videos out online. …and now I really want one. Well take a look.

Be sure to check out the skidpad test towards the end. That looks like fun.

Here is hoping GM stays around long enough for me to get my hands on one.

US Auto Makers please take note

Posted by: The Derelict  :  Category: Cars, Politics, Rants

How come every other car company in the world seems to be able to re-tool for electric and hybrid vehicles except for the US ones? I didn’t even know they had an electric Mini Cooper in the works, but there it is, ready to sell right now in 2008. The Chevy Volt will be lucky to see the light of day in 2010, if it ever does at all. Talk about too little too late.

The way things are looking we may not have too many US automakers by then anyway, once our bailout for them fails to change anything. You can’t plug up a hole in a glass by pouring more water in it, so how can you fix companies that are hemorrhaging money by throwing more money at them?

Unless they change their ‘business as usual’ nothing will change…

Cool Mini Cooper though…

Leaving the bomb shelter to go to the grocery store?

OK show of hands, who the hell remembers the 1989 movie Tango and Cash? Well i do, and I especially remember a ridiculous precursor to the SUV in it that was lovingly referred to as the “RV from Hell“. (below)

Well it looks like someone actually made something pretty close to it. The Knight XV, no relation to the Knight Industries 2000 (KITT).

This $300K road going monster truck sports a bio-fuel burning 6.8L V10, bullet-proof everything and every piece of technology you can imagine including a FLIR night vision system. RIDICULOUS. Unless people are shooting at you regularly, then it is perfectly acceptable.

How many vehicles do you know of that have their own ballistics report?

The two-seat roadster comes with an electronically retractable folding metal roof that automatically disappears into the trunk. The 4.2L V8 engine propels the Spyder from 0-60mph in under 5 seconds whilst producing a lovely 350 horsepower.
